Korean People Strong in Faith
Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea, which traces its origin back to the formation of the Down-with Imperialism Union, has always emerged victorious, producing a large number of people strong in faith.

During the hard-fought anti-Japanese struggle, the revolutionary martyrs were infinitely faithful to the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, closely rallied around him.

Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese heroine always remembered by the Korean people as a lifeguard of the President, remained loyal to him with a strong revolutionary faith and obligation from the first day of her revolutionary struggle to the last moment of her life.

Kim Hyok, Cha Kwang Su and others belonging to the first generation of the Korean revolution respected the President as the sun already at the dawn of the revolution.

Inheriting their indomitable spirit, the Korean people successfully overcame difficulties and trials with an unbreakable faith in the periods of the Fatherland Liberation War, the postwar rehabilitation and construction and the socialist construction.

Ri In Mo and other unconverted long-term prisoners were steadfast in the belief that the Korean revolution will surely emerge victorious under the leadership of Kim Jong Il. Kil Yong Jo who was a pilot of an air unit of the Korean People's Army and many other people sacrificed themselves for the safety of the headquarters of the revolution.

Among the heroes are 17 servicepersons who saved slogan-bearing trees, precious assets of the Korean revolution, from a wood fire on Mujae Hill and fishermen of the Onchon Fishery Station who kept portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il undamaged, overtaken by a rough storm.

The building of a thriving nation is being accelerated successfully by the Korean people boundlessly faithful to the Songun revolutionary leadership of the WPK, guided by Kim Jong Il.
