Korean Stamp Show Opens
Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- A Korean stamp show was opened with due ceremony at the Korean Stamp Exhibition Hall on Wednesday to celebrate the 65th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea.

On display are stamps carrying images of President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk.

Also displayed on the thematic order are at least 5,000 kinds of stamps vividly showing the course of victory and glory covered by the WPK under the wise guidance of the peerlessly great persons and introducing the admirable successes made by the army and people of the DPRK in the revolution and construction thanks to the heroic efforts of the Korean people.

Colorful stamps collected by philatelists across the country are exhibited.

Present there at the opening ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ryu Yong Sop, minister of Post and Telecommunications, officials concerned, philatelists and working people.

Present there on invitation were officials in charge of cultural and friendly relations of various embassies here.
