S. Korea Accused of Staging Ridiculous Ruckus
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- A few days ago the south Korean authorities staged a ridiculous ruckus called "commemoration of the day of recovery of Seoul" in Seoul with their chief executive and "government" and military officials concerned and former mercenaries of the U.S. imperialists involved as part of their anti- DPRK burlesque marking the lapse of six decades since the outbreak of the Korean war. At the confrontation charade timed to coincide with an event commemorating "the day of ROK Army," an annual event taking place on October 1, warmongers let loose such provocative remarks against the DPRK as describing the "Cheonan" case as a "provocation from the north" and "infiltration and provocation by asymmetric combat power."

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The above-said farce is nothing but another politically motivated grave provocation against the DPRK as it is aimed at covering their crime-woven history and fanning up extreme antipathy and atmosphere of confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The saber-rattling being staged to invade the DPRK against the backdrop of the above-mentioned anti-DPRK charade is premeditated moves intended to hamstring its efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations, strain the situation and ignite a war, the commentary notes, and goes on:

If the south Korean authorities truly wish to mend the inter-Korean relations, they should stop all their provocations getting on the nerves of the DPRK and aggravating the situation and opt for achieving national reconciliation and unity and repairing the inter-Korean relations.

The south Korean authorities will not be able to escape a stern punishment by history if they escalate the tension and hamstring the efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations, swimming against the trend of the times.
