US Forces' Violation of Rights to Labor Blasted
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions called a press conference outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Sept. 28 to accuse the U.S. forces of highhanded practices.

The organization referred to the fact that on the same day taxi drivers staged a rally outside the U.S. military base in Tongduchon of Kyonggi Province to protest against the management side's refusal to have collective bargaining and crackdown upon the trade union.

In this regard, the U.S. forces notified of non-permission to taxi business for the reason that the rally was called in front of the military base and the management side discharged all its participants under this pretext, it pointed out.

The organization charged that it is evidently an infringement upon the right to labor for the U.S. forces to meddle in the legitimate activities of the trade union and incite the suppression of it.

It urged the U.S. ambassador and the commander of the U.S. forces present in south Korea to directly come out to investigation into the truth behind the case and take measures to prevent the recurrence of such case.
