He said that in capitalist countries such factories were run only in the potato season for the sake of profits but here in Korea the factory had been built to provide better dietary conditions to the people. He also said if the factory had been operated 60 days only to produce potato starch, it could not be called a factory for the people.

He then suggested that processes be added to the factory to turn out dehydrated noodle and syrup with starch produced by itself.

The officials accompanying him were deeply moved by his deep concern for the people's diet.
