Present at the event were Hong Son Ok, vice-chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairwoman of the DPRK-Germany Friendship Association, and officials in the fields of science, education and public health.

On hand were Gerhard Thiedemann, German ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of the German embassy here, and other German guests.

Speakers referred to the fact that exchange and cooperation in the field of culture have become brisk since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Germany and expressed the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow strong thanks to joint efforts.
