New Protein Feed Resources Available
Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Teachers of Pyongyang University of Agriculture attached to Kim Il Sung University have found out new protein-rich feed resources -- fruits of a tree belonging to Aceraceae.

Six years after planting, the tree begins to bear fruits. Its seed is higher than pea and broad bean in the crude protein content. The epicarp also contains some eight percent of crude protein.

The tree is good not only in acquiring feed materials for stockbreeding and fish farming but in garbing the country in green.

1.4-6 tons of fruits can be harvested from a hectare with 200 trees. They amount to 1-4.2 tons of beans in terms of crude protein.
