Letter from Participants in Book Exhibition
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il was presented with a letter by the participants in the 7th Pyongyang Int'l Science and Technology Book Fair on Wednesday.

The letter referred to the fact that the fair was successfully held under the keen interest of media, education and scientific institutions of the DPRK and other countries and according to its basic purpose.

Saying that the participants discussed the issues of boosting the exchange and cooperation in the fields of science and technology and swapped the successes and experience gained in the fields, it expressed wholehearted thanks to Kim Jong Il for paying deep attention to the successful holding of the event.

Noting that they came to know well about the great importance the government of the DPRK has attached to the science and technology, witnessing the leaping progress made by it, the letter noted that they were deeply impressed to see the creative endeavors of the Korean people to push back the frontiers of latest science and technology.

It expressed belief that the Korean people would perform new miracles this significant year marking the 65th anniversary of foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea and build an economic power in the near future. The letter reiterated the participants' will to conduct brisk activities for scientific and technological exchange and cooperation through the fair in the future, too.

It sincerely wished Kim Jong Il good health and greater success in his noble work for the prosperity of the country and the well-being of his people.
