Peace on Korean Peninsula Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Living, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea made public a statement titled "Let us protect peace on the Korean Peninsula by concluding a peace treaty free from the U.S. forces" on Sept. 8.

It accused the U.S. forces of frantically staging south Korea-U.S. joint military exercises while keeping south Korea under its occupation for the last 65 years, steadily revising and supplementing the plans for a war of aggression against the DPRK including "OPLAN 5027" and "OPLAN 5030" and disturbing inter-Korean dialogue to lay hurdles in the way of achieving the reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. is now egging the Lee Myung Bak warlike forces on to intensify armed provocations against the DPRK under the false pretence of the warship "Cheonan" case, the statement said, and went on:

The situation on the Korean Peninsula is so tense that a war may break out there any time owing to the moves of the U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak dictatorial forces. It is the basic way of averting a war to drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea and conclude a peace treaty as early as possible.

The U.S. should put an end to the dangerous racket for a war against the DPRK and withdraw its troops from south Korea. Otherwise it will face the actions of all the people to defend peace.
