Present there on invitation were Zhirinovsky, deputy speaker of the State Duma of Russia, Saltanov, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and personages of Just Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Culture, the Academy of Sciences, the Moscow city government, the Moscow War Veterans' Committee, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and other figures of the parliament, ministries of the government, political parties, organizations and institutions.

The participants in the reception placed a floral basket and bunches of flowers before the full-length picture of President Kim Il Sung standing together with General Secretary Kim Jong Il and looked round works of the peerlessly great persons and photos showing the history of victory and glory of the DPRK on display at the venue of the function.

O Sung Ho said in his speech at the reception that it was the consistent stand of the DPRK government to invariably boost the DPRK-Russia friendly and cooperative ties with a long history and tradition, reiterating the DPRK's will to exert positive efforts to boost the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in line with the spirit of the Korea-Russia joint documents and the inter-state treaty in the future, too.

The vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia declared that Russia would invariably boost the mutually beneficial relations in all fields including politics, economy and culture with the DPRK, a close neighbor, and make steady efforts to attain the common goal for creating conditions for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and its security and the peace in the region and socio-economic development as it did in the past.
