Seminar on Work of Kim Il Sung Held in Guinea
Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- A seminar on President Kim Il Sung's work "For the Development of Agriculture in African Countries" took place at the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea on Aug. 27.

In the work, published on Aug. 31, Juche 70 (1981), the President stressed that if agricultural institutes are set up in Eastern and Western Africa and agricultural scientists and engineers from the DPRK and the countries concerned and neighboring countries conduct joint researches on agricultural science according to the actual conditions of African countries and a model is created and its examples are popularized, the Eastern and Western African countries will be able to develop agriculture rapidly and attain self-sufficiency in food.

Secouna Camara, director general of the institute and chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Farming Methods, said in his speech that the work is an encyclopedia indicating the way for developing agriculture in African countries.

He went on to say:

The Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea founded under the meticulous guidance and warm loving care of Kim Il Sung has turned into an effective research center for agricultural science dynamically propelling the agricultural development of not only Guinea but other African countries, strikingly displaying the vitality of the South-South cooperation.

Today the institute is making signal achievements in the researches into agricultural science under the deep care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and greatly contributing to the agricultural development of Guinea.

We will as ever make deeper study of the said famous work and thoroughly embody it in all activities including the researches into agricultural science, thus always exalting the honor of the institute bearing the august name of the President.
