Services Recorded in History of DPRK-China Friendship
Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- Great deeds and noble internationalist spirit of the Chinese People's Volunteers in the Fatherland Liberation War (June 1950-July 1953) are still kept in the memory of the Korean people.

When the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was in the war started by the U.S. imperialists, the Chinese Party and Government dispatched many volunteers to the Korean front under the banner of resisting America and aiding Korea, safeguarding the home and defending the motherland.

The Chinese volunteers fought shoulder to shoulder with the Korean soldiers in the same trench, fully displaying a self-sacrificing spirit and collective heroism.

Huang Ji Guang said, "The enemy's bullets may take my life, but not dear Koreans'", before covering the enemy's gun muzzle with his body. Xu Jia Peng, too, rushed forward, shouting "Forward for Korea, our neighbor!" to silence an enemy machinegun with his body and make a breakthrough for his unit's advance.

Three volunteers on Sanggam Pass fought as many troops as a battalion and defended the height for three days under a rain of shells and bombs.

Although they had many difficulties in the war, the Chinese volunteers helped peasants with their plowing, sowing and harvesting, repaired reservoirs, dams, roads and bridges and protected lives and properties of Korean people.

Luo Sheng Jiao is well known in Korea as he saved a boy from a frozen river at the cost of his life.

Indeed, the Korean War is a witness to friendship and cooperation fully demonstrated by the armies and people of the two countries.

The great services of the Chinese People's Volunteers are shining along with the DPRK-China friendship ever developing under deep care of the leaders of the two countries.
