US Occupation of S. Korea under Fire
Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist aggression forces' occupation of south Korea is a source of escalated tension and danger of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a singed article.

The article points out that the history of the U.S. occupation of south Korea is that of heinous crimes as the U.S. has disturbed peace of the peninsula and seriously threatened security of the Korean nation through ceaseless moves for aggression on the DPRK.

The U.S. imperialist aggression forces' presence in south Korea serves as source of the danger whereby a new war may break out on the peninsula, it says, and goes on:

After the Korean War the U.S. shipped huge military equipment, including nukes, and troops into south Korea and set up aggression military bases in many parts of it. Consequently, south Korea has turned into the largest nuclear powder magazine in the Far East and the forward base for aggression on the DPRK.

The U.S. has persisted in its reckless scheme to retrieve its defeat in the Korean War and realize its ambition for invasion of the DPRK, thus bringing the constant danger of war to the peninsula and posing a grave threat to its peace.

The U.S. still remains unchanged in its design to keep its military presence in south Korea and carry out its policy of aggression on the DPRK. It is persistently keeping tens of thousands of its aggression troops in south Korea, refusing to withdraw them. It is clear to everyone that such action is intended to provoke a war of aggression on the peninsula at any cost.

It is anachronistic that the U.S. has kept its military presence in south Korea up to now though many years have passed since the end of the Cold War. There is no ground for the U.S. imperialist aggression forces to be stationed in south Korea any longer.

The U.S. imperialist aggression forces should be withdrawn from south Korea at once in order to prevent the danger of outbreak of a new war and ensure peace and security on the peninsula.
