Japan Urged to Make Apology for Past Crimes
Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on Aug. 29 as regards the lapse of the centenary since the fabrication of the "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty" by the Japanese imperialists.

Bringing to light how the treaty was fabricated and its illegality, the statement held that the annexation of Korea was state terrorism and criminal gangsterism conducted by Japan in a bid to subordinate an independent nation to it.

Disclosing in detail that the Japanese imperialist aggressors had enforced a brutal and bloody colonial rule after occupying Korea, it said:

The statement, issued by the Japanese prime minister on the occasion of the centenary of the enforcement of "Korea-Japan annexation", is of no value as it did not mention an apology and reparation to the DPRK.

Japan should make apology and reparation to the DPRK for its past crimes and return all cultural artifacts it plundered.
