DPRK's Birthday Celebrated
Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- A meeting and a seminar took place in Bangladesh and a lecture in Guinea from Aug. 25 to 30 on the occasion of the 62nd birthday of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Displayed in the venues were photos on the feats President Kim Il Sung performed in the nation-building and General Secretary Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership exploits.

Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, and other personages in their speeches highly praised Kim Il Sung as the founder of socialist Korea and an invincible and iron-willed commander who defeated two imperialisms in one generation, adding that the revolutionary exploits performed by him would always be remembered by the Korean people and progressive humankind along with the century.

They expressed conviction that the DPRK, which has turned into a political and ideological power and a military power under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, will win one victory after another in the future, too.

M. Jahangir Khan, advisor to the Bangladesh Barisal Society for the Study of Songun Policy, said in his speech that Kim Il Sung's founding of the DPRK is an immortal contribution to the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

Banou Keita, chairman of the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association, said in the lecture titled "The mental power of DPRK" that the DPRK's history spanning more than six decades is recorded with uninterrupted eye-opening events.

He emphasized that the mental power of the Korean people would surely bring about a stirring reality called a thriving nation before long.
