Korean People Hail Kim Jong Il's China Visit
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- The Korean people are paying the highest tribute to General Secretary Kim Jong Il, who provided a new milestone in the history of the DPRK-China friendship with his five-day visit to China.

Ho Chol San, a department director of the Ministry of Light Industry, told KCNA that Kim Jong Il's second visit to China this year was a historical event clearly substantiating the high level the DPRK-China friendship was on.

He said that through his China visit he set an example in the development of friendly relations among the countries aspiring after the unity and cooperation under the banner of independence and made a great contribution to defending peace and stability in northeast Asia and the rest of the world and advancing the cause of socialism.

Kim Myong Ho, a department director of the Ministry of Agriculture, said in an interview with KCNA that Kim Jong Il's visit to China marked a significant occasion in injecting vitality in the bilateral relations in the new century and further deepening the friendship and comradeship between the two parties and the two people.

The news that he toured the Jilin and Heilongjiang Provinces, where President Kim Il Sung waged a hard-fought anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle with Chinese comrades, is stiring up the hearts of the people, he added.

An Chon Suk, a peasant of the Taesong Cooperative Farm, deeply touched by Kim Jong Il's foreign visit in the hot season, vowed to make a good job in agricultural production, remaining failthful to his Songun revolutionary leadership.
