S. Korea Urged to Eradicate Hostile Feelings
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- The south Korean ruling forces are not regarding the people of the DPRK as fellow countrymen with whom they should join hands in the efforts to achieve national reunification but as their rival in the confrontation and "principal enemy". Due to these anachronistic and treacherous hostile feelings toward fellow countrymen the inter-Korean relations have been driven into a collapse and the danger of a war is increasing on the Korean Peninsula as the days go by.

Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a signed article.

It goes on:

The hostility toward fellow countrymen is the root cause of the collapse of the inter-Korean relations.

The Lee Myung Bak group is regarding the DPRK as its rival in the confrontation, denying the idea of "By our nation itself."

As soon as the group came to power, it has systematically brought to naught landmark achievements made in the inter-Korean relations under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration, talking about what it called "lost decade."

Due to these reckless acts of the south Korean ruling forces the inter-Korean relations have been brought to a collapse and the June 15 era of reunification has hit a big snag. This eloquently proves how seriously the conservative group's confrontation conception of indiscriminately antagonizing fellow countrymen affects the development of the inter-Korean relations and the cause of national reunification.

The hostility toward fellow countrymen is the root cause of bringing the dark clouds of a war to hang over the fellow countrymen.

It is due to the reckless moves of the puppet group to escalate the confrontation toward fellow countrymen that the situation remains so extremely tense on the Korean Peninsula that a war may break out any moment.

The hostility of the group toward fellow countrymen finds a vivid manifestation in the fact that it is brutally suppressing the people from all walks of life desirous of reunification through alliance with the north, antagonizing them under the absurd pretext of linkage with it.

Serious, indeed, is the baneful impact of the group of traitors' bitterness towards fellow countrymen on the development of the inter-Korean relations, peace of the country and democratic development of the south Korean society.

The hostile feelings of the group of traitors to the nation toward fellow countrymen and its consciousness of confrontation are its inveterate habits. As long as this group is allowed to stay in power in south Korea Koreans can neither improve the inter-Korean relations nor achieve reunification of the country.
