Japan Urged to Make Apology and Reparation to DPRK
Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association issued a statement on August 26 in support of the statement made by a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry as regards the lapse of one century since the fabrication of the "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty".

The statement expressed full support for the DPRK Foreign Ministry's statement demanding that Japan make early apology and reparation to the DPRK.

Recalling that the Korean people suffered tremendous damage and pain from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule, the statement said that it is quite natural for Japan to make apology and reparation to the DPRK though belatedly.

Japan should also stop the crackdown upon the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, a legitimate organization, and put an immediate halt to its sanctions against the DPRK and the scheme to grab Tok Islets, it held.

The statement said that the branch fully supports the Korean people in the struggle against Japan's anti-DPRK moves.
