US-S. Korea Accused of Defending Japan's Crimes in S. Korea
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- An international symposium on the lapse of a century since the forced annexation of Korea to Japan was held in south Korea on August 28 under the sponsorship of the "south Korea-Japan Committee for Joint Actions on the Lapse of the Century since the Forced Annexation of Korea to Japan".

Speakers at the symposium said that it is under the patronage of the U.S. that Japan has not yet made any apology and reparation for its past crimes.

The division of Korea, Japan's moves to revive militarism, the reign of pro-Japanese forces in south Korea and all other facts are directly linked with the U.S., they pointed out, and went on:

Japan's refusal to settle its past crimes is entirely attributable to the U.S. and the south Korean authorities keen on flunkeyism towards Japan.

Declaring that they would lay bare the damage and pain the Japanese imperialists imposed upon the Korean people through diverse activities such as writing textbooks, mass education and legal actions, they called on civic and public organizations to solidarize with each other in the struggle to force Japan to make apology and reparation for its crimes.
