Production Capacity More than Trebles at Cornstarch Factory
Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory underwent successful technological updating in a short span of time. As a result, all confectionary production processes were put on a CNC basis and the production capacity more than trebled to mass-produce confectionary.

All the production processes ranging from the feeding of raw materials to packing are computerized to streamline the production of sweets and biscuits.

The factory has a series of streamlined production processes based on a combined computer control system and is furnished with modern equipment developed and manufactured by its own efforts and with indigenous technology. This has brought about a signal boost in the production of confectionary including drops and varieties of biscuits.

Quality and weight of varieties of products and operation of equipment and all other production processes are monitored and controlled at the combined control room.

As all the processes and machines have been put under the double or treble automatic control systems, most stable production is ensured and labor productivity markedly rose.

Anion generating devices and air quarantine equipment are installed at the work sites to thoroughly ensure the germ-free production.

The factory is now busy delivering confectionary to commercial units.
