Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Members of the south Korean Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps and those who fell victims to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army held the 932nd Wednesday meeting outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul on August 25.

Read out at the meeting was a declaration in the name of 3,307 members from all walks of life and overseas Koreans demanding the solution to the issue of comfort women for the Imperial Japanese Army on the lapse of the century since the fabrication of the "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty." It was followed by speeches.

The speakers said that the urgent task for this year is to wrest Japan's apology and reparation for the crimes related to the sexual slavery.

A statement made public by the Japanese prime minister on the lapse of the century since the fabrication of the said treaty, however, did not mention at all the crimes perpetrated by the Japanese imperialists in the past, they charged.

The sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army should never be forgotten, they stressed, urging the Japanese government and Diet to enact a law on settling the issue and make official apology and reparation for the past crimes.
