The statement said that Kim Jong Il's field guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, 1960 was the embodiment of the Songun idea which calls for putting forward the military affairs as the most important state affairs.

Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership is a successful application of the practical experience of the Korean revolution that started and has advanced with the arms, the statement noted, adding that the KPA has performed great feats in the struggle to defend the country from the imperialists' aggression moves under his Songun revolutionary leadership.

Saying that the Songun idea serves as the revolutionary idea of the 21st century that gives encouragement and impetus to the world revolution and the anti-imperialist struggle, the statement called upon the progressive people of the world to conduct dynamic activities to study and disseminate the Songun idea and politics.
