Han Sang Ryol's Unconditional Release Demanded
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. issued a statement on August 21 calling for the unconditional release of Rev. Han Sang Ryol.

The statement referred to the fact that Rev. Han, reunification champion who visited the north on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, was taken away by the puppet National Intelligence Service and the police of south Korea as soon as he went back via Panmunjom.

The reverend's action that visited the north at the risk of his life to achieve the national reunification and implement the June 15 joint declaration should be estimated as a patriotic decision, the statement noted.

Denouncing the Lee Myung Bak "government" for its unreasonable suppression of Rev. Han, it warned that if the "government" resorts to crackdown upon pro-reunification figures and reunification movement organizations again, refusing to set him free, it would meet the judgment of the history.
