Kim Jong Il's Songun Leadership Feats Praised
Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- Seminars took place in France, Mongolia and Germany on August 16 and 17 to mark the 50th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

Displayed in the venues were photos showing his Songun leadership feats.

The chief of the French Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Songun Idea said that Kim Jong Il's field guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, 1960 was not just simple military inspection but it marked his start of the Songun leadership which manifested his firm will to defend the destiny of the country and the nation and accomplish the socialist cause with the army as the main force.

Kim Jong Il inspected the division in January this year again, the chief said, adding that this is a demonstration of his unshakable faith to safeguard and preserve the socialist cause and build a thriving nation without fail under the uplifted banner of Songun in the future, too.

The chairman of the Mongolian Association for the Study of Juche Idea-Songun noted that President Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea in his early years and provided the foundation of the armed forces of the DPRK.

Kim Jong Il has successfully carried forward the Songun cause of the President, the chairman said, stressing that peace and security have been preserved not only on the Korean Peninsula but also in the rest of Northeast Asia thanks to his original Songun politics.

The chief of the Hannover Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Germany said that the Korean people rebuffed the ceaseless war moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers, honorably defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country and performing fresh miracles everyday in the building of an economic power thanks to the Songun politics. The Korean people will certainly emerge victorious with the might of Songun, he added.

Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the seminars in Mongolia and Germany.
