Kim Yong Nam Meets Lao Vice-PM
Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, met and had a friendly talk with Somsavath Lengsavath, standing vice-prime minister of Laos, and his party at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Thursday.

On hand were Pak Kil Yon, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned and Chaleune Warinthrasak, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.

The standing vice-prime minister said that the friendly relations between the two countries provided by Comrade Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung are growing stronger under the deep care of Comrade Choummaly Saynasone and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

He referred to the fact that during their visit they saw the Korean people, firmly united around Kim Jong Il, dynamically waging the drive to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation.
