Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed
Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Personages of Myanmar and Finland issued statements on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, in his statement on Aug. 12 spoke highly of President Kim Il Sung who set forth the unique line on the armed struggle and tasks and ways for its realization and founded the Anti-Japanese People's Guerilla Army based on them. He achieved the historic cause of the liberation of Korea by overcoming the manifold difficulties with his Juche-oriented revolutionary idea and line, unique strategy and tactics and preeminent commanding art, the statement added, stressing:

The liberation of Korea was the most precious exploit performed by Kim Il Sung, peerless patriot and hero of the nation, in the history of the Korean nation's protracted revolutionary struggle for independence.

Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, in his statement on Aug. 8 said that the Korean people could enjoy an independent life since Kim Il Sung liberated the country by organizing and leading the armed struggle against the Japanese imperialist gangsters, taking the destiny of the nation upon himself.

The statement stressed that the undying exploits of Kim Il Sung who saved the Korean nation from the fate of a colonial slave and set a wonderful model of the struggle for national liberation will remain long in the world history of the struggle for national liberation along with the history of modern Korea.
