The bulletin in an article under the sub-title of "The idea of independence" said it has been clarified by the Juche idea that independence is the most important attribute of man as a social being and human history is that of the struggle of the popular masses for independence.

The victory of the cause of independence of the popular masses and the cause of socialism and the prosperity of the country and the nation are guaranteed by arms, the article said, stressing that the Songun idea draws special attention of the international community today as it has embodied this principle.

The bulletin in another article sub-titled "Under the uplifted banner of independence" noted that the DPRK has made steady victorious progress under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea, the Songun idea.

The article said that the DPRK not only has defended socialism under the uplifted banner of Songun but brought about the historic turning point of building a thriving nation in the worst adversity in which the imperialist allied forces were getting ever-more desperate in their offensive against socialism by taking the advantage of the collapse of socialism in some countries toward the end of the last century.

The bulletin in another article under the sub-title of "The victory of the independent politics" informed the readers of the fact that the U.S. and its followers became ever-more undisguised in their anti-DPRK moves, pulling it up over its launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 and the second underground nuclear test it carried out last year but it took resolute self-defensive measures.

React to "sanctions" with retaliation and to "confrontation" with an all-out confrontation, this was the reply of the DPRK, the article said, adding:

The DPRK demonstrated that its declarations were not empty words on several occasions afterward.

The reality in the DPRK clearly proved that independence is truth and the truth is sure to emerge victorious.
