Songun Politics of DPRK Praised by Foreigners
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Personages of Nigeria and Portugal released statements on Aug. 9 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

M. M. Alhassan, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that the Songun politics in the DPRK serves as a treasured sword safeguarding the destiny of the country and the nation and guaranteeing the building of a thriving nation.

He extended support to the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the banner of Songun.

Miguel Boieir, chairman of the Portugal-Korea Friendship Association, said that Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership on Aug. 25, 1960 marked the most meaningful occasion of historic significance in the accomplishment of the Korean people's cause of independence.

The recent military moves of the U.S. against the DPRK are extremely dangerous provocations harassing peace and security not only in the Korean Peninsula but in other parts of Northeast Asia and the rest of the world, he said, adding:

We are convinced that the Korean people will always emerge victorious in the struggle to resolutely foil the U.S. imperialists' aggression moves and realize the historic cause of national reunification as they are guided by the great Songun politics.
