The contest brought together at least 1,200 boys and girls selected from schools of districts and county of Pyongyang.

A kick-off meeting held on the bank of Taedong River in front of Kim Il Sung Square was followed by the contest.

Students from Mangyongdae District and Rakrang District placed first at the contest.

Earlier, a demonstration of the Taedong River-crossing was made by pupils of Pyongyang Namsin Primary School.
