They laid bouquets in front of the statue of President Kim Il Sung standing in the city and paid tribute to him.

They visited the Songun Iron Foundry and the Songun Compressor Shop which were newly built at the Ryongsong Machine Complex. After being briefed on the immoral leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il, they went round production processes.

Watching varieties of quality castings and modern compressors being produced, they learned about the indomitable spirit of the workers of the complex.

They also visited the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex.

They were deeply impressed to witness the dynamism in the gasification project construction site in Hungnam and the revolutionary spirit of the workers in the giant chemical base where vinalon is mass-produced.

While looking round the South Hamgyong Provincial Consumer Goods Exhibition, they expressed admiration at the traits of working people in the province producing useful consumer goods by tapping and using locally available materials, agricultural products and inner reserves.
