"Arirang" Goes On
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", a winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, has been given at May Day Stadium in Pyongyang from August 2, drawing a large number of people.

The spectators are enraptured by spirited gymnastic movements, wonderful dances and kaleidoscopic background.

Musical pieces strong in national emotion and high in artistry, peculiar stage settings, up-to-date electric display board and laser illuminators add to the beauty of the performance.

The background stand shows such magnificent views as newly built Mansudae Street, reclaimed Taegyedo tideland, Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm and new fertilizer and steel production processes.

Ri Hye Sun, a 43-year-old resident in Chongnyu-dong No. 2 in Taedonggang District, Pyongyang, told KCNA that the performance was really a masterpiece inspiring the Korean nation with a pride of having the peerlessly great men.

According to Kim Kum Ryong, a senior director of the performance, Chapter 5 "Arirang of Friendship" has been added to the performance and some parts of the performance recreated in a short span of time to show new gymnastic movements, dances and background pictures.
