Japanese PM Statement Censured in S. Korea
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Core members of all political parties and religious circles in south Korea made public a declaration on the situation censuring a statement of the Japanese prime minister on Aug. 13 as regards the 65th anniversary of the August 15 liberation of Korea and the centenary of the fabrication of the "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty", according to south Korea's CBS.

The declaration charged that in his statement the Japanese prime minister neither recognized the nullification of the "treaty" nor mentioned any reparation for the issue of "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army, etc.

The "treaty" is totally invalid, it said, strongly urging the Japanese government to stop at once its "claim to Tok Islets", distortion of the history, etc.
