Wreaths Laid before Cemeteries and Towers
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin who is chairman of the Russian side of the DPRK-Russia Inter-governmental Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee laid a wreath before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong Sunday on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The wreath was laid in the name of the delegation.

The guests observed a moment's silence in memory of the revolutionary martyrs.

Then they laid bunches of flowers before the bust of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese heroine, and paid tribute to her.

The delegation and staff members of the Russian embassy here laid a wreath before the Liberation Tower on the same day.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were members of the delegation, Valery Sukhinin, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, staff members of his embassy and diplomatic envoys of various countries here.

Meanwhile, the delegation and staff members of the embassy laid wreaths and bunches of flowers before the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang.

Earlier, staff members of the embassy laid bunches of flowers before the liberation tower, monument to and cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Haeju, Wonsan and Hungnam.
