Kanggye and Chongjin Martyrs Cemeteries Completed
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- The Kanggye Martyrs Cemetery and the Chongjin Martyrs Cemetery were built.

Buried at the cemeteries were remains of martyrs and persons of merits who glorified their lives in the sacred struggle for the liberation of the country and its prosperity and reunification remaining faithful to the leadership of the party and the leader.

Among them are anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs, anti-Japanese patriotic martyrs, heroes of the DPRK and labor heroes.

Completion ceremonies took place Sunday.

Present there were officials of local party, power and economic organs and working people's organizations, bereaved families and other working people.

The participants laid wreaths and bunches of flowers before the cemeteries and observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.

Addresses on completion were made by Pak To Chun, chief secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and O Su Yong, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK.

At the end of the ceremonies the participants went round the cemeteries.
