US Call for Stronger Military Alliance Blasted
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is now becoming increasingly vocal for stronger "alliance" with south Korea and Japan these days. This precisely means escalated moves for knocking into shape a triangular military alliance, a nexus for aggression against the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes this in a signed article.

The daily cites facts to prove that the triangular military alliance involving the U.S., Japan and south Korea has been in the making since the era of the Cold War.

It is the invariable scenario of the U.S. to round off the formation of the above-said military alliance to legally use Japan and south Korea as shock brigades for carrying out its strategy for invading the DPRK, it says and goes on:

After branding the DPRK as "a dangerous state" and "a hostile state" and adopting it as a policy to stifle it by force of arms, the U.S. imperialists seek to use Japan and south Korean puppet forces as shock forces in achieving their objective.

Though the above-said military alliance has not been formally proclaimed, it actually exists and is briskly operating. Herein lie the potential danger and gravity of the alliance stepped up by the U.S. with such increased zeal.

The U.S. imperialists have already worked out a "joint operation plan" simulating "a contingency" on the Korean Peninsula with Japan while they have drafted with south Korea scenarios for a war of aggression against the DPRK and rounded them off.

The basic aim sought by the U.S. imperialists in its Asia-Pacific strategy is to provoke a nuclear war against the DPRK, to begin with, with south Korea as a springboard and then attack countries in this region by putting the above-said military alliance into motion and mobilizing a united force of its members in a bid to realize its scenario for aggression.
