Story of Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- One day in February Juche 35 (1946) half a year after the liberation of the country, President Kim Il Sung had a discussion with some officials on the building of a new country in his residence till late at night.

After midnight a gun report rang out suddenly not far from the residence and the electric light went out.

The President in a calm tone told the officials that they did not need to be surprised at the shot as it seemed that some wicked persons were working mischievously. He then suggested taking a break before resuming the discussion and stepped toward the entrance.

When he reached the gate, he found anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk standing in his way with a mauser in her hand.

She dissuaded him from going out of the residence, saying that it was a demand of the guards.

Her attitude was analogous to that taken by her to protect the President from danger during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
