Efficacious Veterinary Medicines Developed
Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- Newly developed veterinary medicines have widely been used in stockbreeding and poultry farms in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Among them are ionized CMF (Ca, Mg, Fe) and spirulina injection.

The ionized CMF, a substitute for vitamin D3 and calcium phosphate, is popular among breeders and veterinaries as it helps prevent and treat rickets of domestic animals.

It has been applied to more than ten stockbreeding and poultry farms to cure rickety young fowls and animals in a week.

The medicine is low in the production cost but highly efficacious for rickets and osteomalacia.

Spirulina injection is a vaccination which prevents and treats domestic animals' diseases and increases their weight.

The medicines, which are of great significance in livestock breeding of the country, were developed separately by the IT Introduction Department of the State Academy of Sciences and the Agrobiology Research Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science.
