The statement denounced their provocative moves against the DPRK, which are being intensified as never before, as a violation of the Korean people's sovereignty and a threat to peace in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world.

The U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities orchestrated the case of sunk warship "Cheonan" and are escalating such hostile actions against the DPRK as accusations, military threat and sanctions, it pointed out, stressing that it is quite natural for the DPRK to bolster up its nuclear deterrent so as to cope with the developments.

The ILPS is opposed to the U.S. imperialists' scheme to provoke a new war against the DPRK, it said, calling upon the world people and member and related organizations of the ILPS to extend support and encouragement to the Korean people's struggle for independence and protest against the U.S. imperialists' moves for aggression on the DPRK and demand the immediate withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea.

The Ecuadorian preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung issued a statement on July 27 in which it denounced the war moves of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities.
