The statement branded the war maneuvers of the U.S. and south Korean authorities as a reckless scheme for aggression on the independent DPRK.

The U.S. administration should be clearly mindful that if the U.S. provokes a war against the DPRK, it would suffer a crushing defeat from the Korean People's Army, the invincible revolutionary armed forces with strong mental power, it said.

The statement held that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities should stop all forms of war exercises if they truly want peace.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association made public a joint statement on the same day, which charged that the war maneuvers of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces are a challenge to peace and a wanton infringement on the sovereignty of the DPRK as they are aimed to threaten the DPRK and stifle Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses.
