Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in a signed article.

It goes on:

It is entirely thanks to the Songun revolutionary leadership of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il that the DPRK has won one victory after another in the stand-off with the U.S. for more than half a century.

Songun is the mode of making a revolution consistently maintained by the President in the whole course of leading the Korean revolution.

Kim Jong Il has invariably pursued the policy of attaching importance to army and military affairs since long ago true to the Songun idea and line of the President, thus developing the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK into an invincible army.

It is under the leadership of Kim Jong Il that the DPRK is demonstrating its might as a military power which no aggressor forces dare provoke and an impregnable fortress reliably protecting the dignity and sovereignty of the nation. That is why all Koreans in the north and the south and overseas are confident of national reunification and a rosy future of a thriving nation full of high national pride and honor.

It is clearly proved by the present reality that the peace on the Korean Peninsula and security of the nation are guaranteed thanks to the Songun politics.

The history of victory will last forever as long as the Songun politics is in force.

The army and people of the DPRK will decisively shatter the madcap moves of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warmongers to invade the DPRK and dynamically carve out the independent destiny of the nation by dint of Songun in the future, too, as they have covered a glorious course of victory, weathering out stern storm and stress and performing historic miracles under the uplifted banner of Songun.
