War Museum Visited by Many People
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- More than half a century has passed since the Korean people won the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953).

On the occasion of the anniversary of the victory in the war, July 27, an increasing number of people have visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum on the banks of the River Pothong in Pyongyang.

The museum, which opened in August 17, Juche 42 (1953), has some 80 exhibition halls, including those of a general review, the anti-Japanese armed struggle, democratic revolution, military operations, services and arms, heroes of the Republic, struggle of people in the rear, great victory, large panorama of the Taejon liberation operation.

They house many revolutionary relics, photos, large relief maps, mementoes, etc. showing the greatness of President Kim Il Sung, an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander, imperishable feats he performed in the war, and heroic fight of the Korean army and people to inflict an ignominious defeat on the U.S. imperialist aggressors who started the war to stifle the DPRK in its cradle.

Over the past 57 years a total of 29,650,000 people, including servicepersons, schoolchildren, overseas Koreans and foreigners, have visited the museum.
