Recreated Opera Indicative of Bright Future of Juche Arts
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has successfully recreated opera "Evgeni Onegin" based on Pushkin's novel and composed by Tchaikovsky.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il called for performing famous works of the world along with classical works of the nation and entrusted the conservatory with the recreation of the opera.

The conservatory, under the guidance of Kim Jong Il, recreated the opera, which was created in Juche 47 (1958) in Korea, on a high level to suit the taste of the new century.

Students of the conservatory successfully perform the opera, fully displaying their talents.

Their performance based on unique and rich voice, fine acting and excellent stage art strikingly demonstrates the validity of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on training reserve artistes.

After appreciating the opera, Russian musicians and other foreigners admired the opera recreated under the guidance of Kim Jong Il.
