"Results of Investigation" of Joint Investigation Team Refuted
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- Ri Jong In, representative of a south Korean diving technology corporation, when interviewed by a reporter of the internet newspaper Thongil News on July 15, refuted the "results of investigation" into the warship case published by the puppet joint investigation team.

He referred to the fact that when examining the metal pieces which had been left in the waters off Inchon for 50 days since right after the publication of the above-said results, he found them rusty a little.

Noting that he could obtain these results of the experiment though it was provided with ample conditions for the metal pieces to get rusty as heavily as possible, he held that it would take ten years at maximum for the metal pieces to get rusty so seriously under sea water as shown by the torpedo wreckage produced by the above-said team.

He insisted that the warship "Cheonan" was not sunk by explosion under any circumstances.

Pointing out that the warship ran on a rock before sinking, he explained that when water rushed into the broken part of the ship, it began sinking while the other part of the ship resisted it with buoyant force, causing it to break into two pieces in the end.

He went on to say: A photograph of the retrieved stern clearly showed the trace of the stranding. I was confident when examining myself the damage to the hull that it was hit first and then filled with water, causing a big difference in the weight of its bow and stern which resulted in cutting it into two pieces.
