Exhibition of Ri Dynasty Furniture Goes On
Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of furniture belonging to the Ri Dynasty is going on at the Korean Folklore Museum from July 1.

On display at the exhibition are typical furniture such as chest, coffer, wardrobe, drawers and study fixtures and small dining table.

Attracting eyes of the visitors are mother-of-pearl box for ceremonial dress, casket, picnic box, lacquered mother-of-pearl wardrobe, clothes chest with a hinged front flap, strongbox, cupboard, desk and small dining table patterned with lotus leaves.

The 200-odd-year-old clothes chest has three drawers, the top for men's dresses, the middle for women's and the lower for children's. The front part of the chest was patterned with animals and plants.

The exhibits show well the skill and talent of the Korean people.

The exhibition continues until October.
