Solidarity with Korean People's Struggle Called for in Pakistan
Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The Pakistan Organization for Afro-Asian People's Solidarity, the Pakistan Trade Union Federation, the Pakistan Peasants Committee, the Pakistan Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification and the Lahore Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association issued a joint statement on July 14 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The Korean War that broke out on June 25, 1950 was, obviously, a product of the deliberate and premeditated scenario of the U.S. imperialists for aggression, the statement said, and went on:

The heroic Korean people inflicted an ignominious defeat upon the U.S. imperialists and their allies under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

The U.S. imperialists suffered a defeat in Korea, the first of its kind in their history of war, knelt down to the Korean people and signed the Armistice Agreement on July 27, 1953.

They are still posing a threat and putting pressure upon the DPRK instead of replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.

This is arousing great concern among the peace-loving people of the world.

We hope that the Korean people will achieve great success in their efforts to implement the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration under the leadership of Kim Jong Il and fully support the measures taken by the DPRK government for national reunification.

We call upon the peace-loving people of the world to express solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
