The film impressively depicts the undying feats performed by the peerlessly great men in opening up a new history of the Juche-oriented metallurgical industry by wisely leading the work to complete Korean style iron and steel making method, an important event in the world metallurgical field.

Recorded in the film are historic data dealing with the great efforts exerted by President Kim Il Sung for the completion of the Korean style iron making method till the last moments of his great life. He used to say that those following the Juche idea must make Juche iron.

The film includes scenes showing General Secretary Kim Jong Il visiting the Songjin Steel Complex in March Juche 87 (1998) to kindle the torch of Songgang and those showing that he led step by step the workers of the complex to complete the Juche iron production system, thereby bringing the desire of Kim Il Sung into reality in this land.
