The statement accused the "Intelligence Service" and the "Security Investigation Group" of the Seoul District Police Agency of searching the house of Kim Yong Ho, chairman of the above-said association, and confiscating his documents on July 8.

It said that the security authorities took this repressive action, taking issue with an article of Yun Ki Jin, ex-chairman of the South Headquarters of Pomchonghakryon, Kim posted on the Internet site of the above-said association and its activities.

It slammed the security authorities for suppressing not only the Solidarity for Progress, the Citizens' Solidarity for Democratic Society, the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and other bodies but the "Pro-Reunification Youth", a legal organization supporting and assisting pro-reunification activists in their actions.

The present regime thrown into a tight corner at home and abroad is intensifying the indiscriminate suppression of the pro-reunification movement forces in a bid to stay in power, charged the statement.
