Kim Il Sung Moves Up Victory in War with Three Strikes
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung moved up the final victory in the Fatherland Liberation War by completely smashing the U.S. imperialists' aggressive moves with three rounds of strikes in the fourth stage of the war (June 11, 1951-July 27, 1953).

Although the U.S. imperialists failed in their last-ditch effort, called "new offensive", early in 1953, they intensified aerial bombing on the rear of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in an attempt to bring its army and people into submission.

The President, with a profound analysis of the prevailing situation, laid down an operational plan to frustrate the enemy's attempt with strong strikes and hasten the victory in the war.

In line with the plan, the officers and men of the Korean People's Army (KPA) stubbornly defended their positions and, at the same time, made counterattacks on the enemy.

The combined units of the KPA launched a strike at the enemy in all fronts on May 13.

The enemy suffered serious losses from the 10-odd-day-long first strike and fell into disorder.

The combined units promptly made a second strike at the targets predefined by the President.

Shocked by the two rounds of strike, the enemy reinforced their forces in major fronts and kept on bombing.

The KPA units, under the leadership of the President, dealt a fatal blow to the U.S. imperialists from July 13 to 27 to conclude the war triumphantly.
