Immortal Exploits of Kim Il Sung Praised
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows took place in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Ukraine and Finland between July 3 and 7 on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

On display in the venues were books and photos on the Songun leadership exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, said that Kim Il Sung was the genuine people's father who devoted his all to the happiness of the people. The Korean people hold him in high esteem as father of socialist Korea and eternal President of the DPRK, he added.

Vishwanath, director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, S. P. Pathak, chairman of the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, and other speakers praised the President as the distinguished thinker-theoretician who showed the bright road ahead of the world's oppressed people, the ever-victorious iron-willed commander who defeated the two imperialist formidable enemies in one generation, the genius of creation and construction who built a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, in Korea and the tender-hearted father who took warm care of all people.

Kalevi Warman, chairman of the Finnish Communists' League, stressed that they would always remember the revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung and as ever extend support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people.

Appreciated at the film shows were Korean films "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Pyongyang at Night".

Messages and letter to General Secretary Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events in India, Finland and Pakistan.

Saber Ballul, head of department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus in Syria, released a statement on July 5 on the same occasion.
