Bulletin on Korean War Issued
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- The Colombia-Korea Association of Friendship and Culture issued bulletin titled "United States, first lost war" on June 26 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The bulletin in an article said as follows:

When the United States provoked the Korean War in the 1950s, it calculated that it could easily occupy the young DPRK, counting on its numerical advantage and technical superiority.

The U.S. mobilized in the war more than two million-strong effectives including one third of its ground force, one fifth of its air force and the most of its Pacific fleet and those of its 15 satellite countries and the south Korean army.

The bulletin enumerated facts proving that the U.S. sustained big loss and defeat beyond imagination, even though it bluffed that the Korean War was already doomed. The U.S. suffered nearly 2.3 times as much loss as those it sustained in the Pacific War during the Second World War, it noted.

It stressed:

The Korean War clearly proved that no force on earth can browbeat the people and army who turned out with their firm determination not to become slaves of the imperialists again but to protect their country and system united around their leader with one mind and purpose. It also taught the people a bitter lesson of history that those who violate justice and peace and find pleasure in aggression and war will meet only death and defeat.

The U.S. had better not forget a bitter lesson drawn from its defeat 57 years ago.
